Halloween 2017
On Saturday, October 28th took place a very special activity. To celebrate the 48th anniversary of the publication of the historical novel "Land Possessed", Jean-François Hamilton, member of Les Sentiers de Gore, invited us to redraw the steps of the narrative of the goroise author Margaret Cook. Two buses left the city park to transport us in the heart of a tragic love story pulled in a 19th century of tension between Anglicans and Catholics.
We visited some places which inspired the story of this historical novel, among which two cemeteries situated in the municipality.
Afterward, a mini-conference on Gore's cemeteries was presented by madam Louise Johnston and an other one pronounced by mister Don Stewart in the Church Holy Trinity on the very book and its stage adaptation.

October 6th
This day welcomed more than 40 people on the site of the new Denommé Park on Densa Road for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque in honor of Mister Marcel Denommé and two other donors for the transfer to the municipality of the Canton of Gore of a portion of their land.
Furthermore, a new bench was revealed, works of the sculptor gorois Mister Tony Fortin.
The development of the path has already begun thanks to numerous volunteers who answered the launched call.

September 30th
On September 30th - Construction of two bridges on the Path of the Pioneers to allow the crossing of wet zones.

September 9th
Unveiling of a bench in the entrance of Paths of the Pioneers
The members of the Les Sentiers de Gore inaugurating the new bench in the entrance of the Path of the Pioneers on September 9th. Les Sentiers de Gore is anxious to thank mayor Scott Pearce and the Municipality of the Canton of Gore for this magnificent wooden sculptured bench by the artist Tony Fortin who will decorate the entrance of the path.
Following this event, all persons were invited to walked in the 6th Range path, more than thirty people participated in the hike with historic flavor on Thomas Westgate's former lands in the Gore's sixth range. Jean-François Hamilton, enthusiast of local history, presented us the history of the family Scott, showed fields opened up by the Irish colonists as well as told the Amerindian presence in Les Laurentides.

August 30th - Training day
Paths, that does not act as itself. That is why we decided to invite THE reference regarding development of paths in Quebec, Mr. Jean Lacasse, director of Les Sentiers de L'Estrie. We spent the morning in our paths with him, sharing his comments and his observations.
In the afternoon, he presented us some principles to be respected in the development and the management of sustainable paths in natural environment. A dozen participants had the privilege to attend his presentation in the Gore's community center.
